BOUTERAT, Va. - Only getting one hit across to the field, the #7 Judson University softball team fell in the opening round of the NCCAA World Series to #2 Simpson College (Calif.), 6-0. Concetta Lampugnano had Judson's only hit and Sam Gladen took the loss going 3.1 innings. Sarah Boyer finished and gave up four earned runs. Judson will now face Cedarville at 12:00 p.m. in the loser's bracket.
Judson's hit came in the sixth inning with two outs.  Judson then tried to score on the hit from second base and was thrown out at home to end the inning. 
Judson will now play out of the loser's bracket and will play the loser from the winner's bracket game of #8 Geneva College and #5 Covenant College on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
