ELGIN, Ill. - Putting everything together for game two of the CCAC series vs. Trinity Christian College (9-20/4-10), Judson University (24-12/10-4) had a 10-run fifth inning for the 13-0 win. Judson fell in game one, 9-1. With the split, Judson is now a game behind in the CCAC for the regular season championship.

Game 1
Trinity Christian 9, Judson 1

Trinity Christian had nine hits for nine runs while Judson only found three hits and had three errors. Nicole Dimiceli, Sam Gladen, and Carrie Sensor all had one hit while Gladen had the only RBI. Trinity Christian was up 4-0 before Judson scored their first run. Sam Gladen went 3.1 innings for the loss giving up five earned runs with two strikeouts. Sarah Boyer finished the final 0.2 innings with one strikeout.

Game 2
Judson 13, Trinity Christian 0

Judson erupted for 10 runs in the top of the fifth inning to end the game after five innings. Brittany Holm led Judson going 3-of-4 with three RBI. Dimiceli followed with three hits and one RBI while Concetta Lampugnano had three hits and two RBI. Emily England and Kristen Krueger each had one RBI while Carrie Sensor and Kaleigh Valesquez each had two RBI. Boyer pitched a one-hit shutout for her seventh win of the year. She recorded eight strikes in 16 batters faced. Both Lampugnano and Velasquez had home runs, too.

Judson scored three runs in the first two innings for a 3-0 lead. Dimiceli brought in the first run of the game with a triple to right field as Lampugnano scored. Three batters later, Sensor singled to left field as Dimiceli scored. In the second inning, Lampugnano hit her second home run of the year for a 3-0 lead.

The big inning came in the fifth inning as Judson put up 10 runs for the 13-run lead. Holm started the 10-run extravaganza with a double to score both England and Dimiceli. Two batters later, Velasquez smashed a long shot to deep center field to make it 7-0. Kristen Krueger doubled two batters later for the fifth run of the inning and the she came home on a Lampugnano sacrifice fly. In her second at-bat of the inning, England singled in the eighth run. Holm followed with her second at-bat with a single that brought in Dimiceli. Sensor finished off the scoring with a single up the middle as England came in as the 10th run of the inning.

Judson will host Viterbo University on Friday, April 15th at 4:00 p.m.
