
Wilberforce, Ohio .- Shooting just 22% in the first half put Judson (3-9) behind, 32-11, at the half as Central State (6-5) went on for a 71-45 win over the Eagles. Judson had 27 turnovers that turned into 20 points for CSU.
Devonaye Henderson was the only Eagle in double figures as she scored 11 points. Candace Plantz grabbed a career-high seven rebounds. CSU’s Linda Ubadigbo led all scorers with 16 points.
It was not a pretty first half as JU stayed in single digits in scoring for most of the half. With just under a minute left in the half, JU finally broke double digits with their 11th point. JU went 4-of-18 in the half for just 22%.
The second half was a better half of shooting for JU (44%) but the damage had already been down from the first half. JU made three three-pointers and went 9-of-13 from the free throw line in the second half.
Overall, JU finished shooting 34% and CSU only shot 35%. JU out shot CSU from the three-point line hitting 42% of their shots to CSU’s 36%. CSU made 90% of their free throws (19-of-21) while JU was 12-of-20 for 60%. CSU also out rebounded JU, 46-31, and had 18 offensive rebounds.
Judson will continue their road trip as they head to Wisconsin on Friday, December 21st, to face Silver Lake College at 8:00 p.m.
