Harris-Stowe State 3, Judson 2 - Box

JOLIET, Ill. - Sam Gladen threw a no-hitter in the first game of the day over the University of St. Francis (Ind.) as Judson won in six innings, 8-0. Judson fell in game two to Harris-Stowe State University, 3-2. Judson is now 16-7 on the year.

Gladen had five strikeouts and did not give up a hit for her first-ever no-hitter as Judson blanked St. Francis. She faced 18 batters and only walked one for her sixth win of the year. Nicole Dimiceli led Judson by going 3-of-4 at the plate. Brittany Holm added two RBI with one hit while Gladen and Carrie Sensor had two hits and one RBI. Emily England also had one RBI.
Judson scored four in the first and three in the third for the 7-0 lead and then finished the game in the sixth with one run. Judson scored eight runs on 12 hits with no errors.
Harris-Stowe 3, Judson 2
Katie Talbot pitched the first three innings and gave up three runs on five hits with one strikeout as she fell to Harris-Stowe, 3-2. Sarah Boyer finished out the final four innings and had five strikeouts with only two hits and no runs. Allison Catlett was 2-of-2 at the plate while Hallie Niewold had one hit for two RBI.
Harris-Stowe scored all three runs in the top of the second inning and then Judson cut it to one run, 3-2, in the bottom of the inning but could not get any closer. Both teams went scoreless in the final five innings. Judson had seven hits and one error on the day.
