ELGIN, Ill. - Coming up with key hits when needed, the University of St. Francis (21-5/10-0) took two CCAC games away from Judson University, 4-1, and 6-3, at Hoffer Field. Judson is now 20-7 on the year and 6-3 in the CCAC.

Ben Palmer worked game one going all seven innings as he fell to 2-2 on the year. He produced five strikeouts with five hits giving up three earned runs. Nick Krisman pitched the second game going 6.2 innings as he knocked out nine St. Francis batters but let four earned runs in on nine hits. Kevin Carmody came in for the final out of the second game for an appearance.

St. Francis scored two in the top of the fourth inning and one in the fifth inning for a 3-1 lead before bringing in an insurance run in the seventh inning. Judson had their one run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Johnny Amann went 3-of-4 on the day for Judson. Andy Parsill received his first RBI of the season.

After St. Francis picked up two runs in the top of the fourth, Judson cut the lead to one in the bottom of the inning. With the bases loaded and two outs, Parsill was walked to bring in Judson's only run.

Scoring three runs in the top of the seventh inning, St. Francis completed the CCAC sweep, 6-3. Both teams scored three runs in the second inning for the tie. Brian Brauer and Billy Wright both had two hits for Judson. Brauer and T.J. Swank each had a RBI.

St. Francis struck first with three runs in the top of the second inning. Judson then came right back in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at three. Matt McHenry came in first on a St. Francis fielding error to make it 3-1. Brauer then had a hard single to third base to bring in Levi Pippenger and Swank followed Brauer with another infield single to score Wright.

After three scoreless innings, St. Francis brought in three runs for the win in the top of the seventh inning.

Judson will travel to Kentucky this weekend for a four-game series against Mid-Continent University.
