ELGIN, Ill. - Knocking off #18 Olivet Nazarene University (25-7/3-1) in game of the a CCAC double header, Sam Gladen (Cary, Ill.) went seven innings with a career-high nine strikeouts for the 5-1 win. Olivet Nazarene bounced back in game two, 11-3, over Judson. Judson is now 12-7 and 3-1 in the CCAC tied for first place with Olivet Nazarene.

Nicole Dimiceli (Itasca, Ill.) went 3-of-5 with four RBI in two games to lead Judson. Emily England (Atlanta, Ill.) had three hits and one RBI in the series, too.

Game 1
Judson 5, #18 Olivet Nazarene 1

Sam Gladen went seven innings with a career-high nine strikeouts as she held Olivet Nazarene's powerful offense to just one run with six hits. She had a perfect game through two and half innings and had three innings with three straight outs. The only run came in the bottom of the seventh inning on a home run. Amanda Hart (Marengo, Ill.), Dimiceli, and Erin Stankus (Naperville, Ill.) all had two hits. Dimiceli led the team with two RBI while England and Stankus each had one RBI.

Judson jumped on Olivet Nazarene early with two runs in the first inning. England brought in the first run with a deep single to second base as Hart came in. Stankus followed with a double to left field as Dimiceli became the second run for Judson. In the second inning, Gladen doubled to start the inning and then came in on a Olivet Nazarene error.

Two more runs were scored in the fourth inning for the 5-0 lead. Dimiceli collected both of her RBI with a double to left center field as both Hart and Concetta Lampugnano (Bartlett, Ill.) crossed home plate.

Olivet Nazarene's lone run came in the final inning as Judson came away with the victory. Gladen pitched through two jams in the game with two runners on and only one out to pick up her fifth win of the year.

Game 2
Olivet Nazarene 11, Judson 3

Olivet Nazarene came right back at Judson in game two putting up 11 runs in six innings. Sarah Boyer (McHenry, Ill.) received the loss going two innings for seven earned runs with three strikeouts. Katie Talbot (Downers Grove, Ill.) finished the final four innings and had six strikeouts with three earned runs. Dimiceli had two RBI in the loss while Carrie Sensor picked up the other RBI. England led the team with two hits.

Judson cut the lead to five, 7-2, with two runs in the third inning. Dimiceli singled up the middle for both of the RBI as Lampugnano and Hallie Niewold (Downers Grove, Ill.) came in. Judson's third run was scored in the sixth inning on a Carrie Sensor (Elgin, Ill.) fielder's choice with England scoring.

Judson travels to Indiana on Thursday, March 31st, to face Purdue-North Central in a CCAC double header at 3:00 p.m.
