Elgin, Ill. Giving back to the community, the Judson University Athletic Department was a part of the Elgin Boys and Girls Club Day at the Elgin Centre.
On Sunday, November 18th, the Judson athletes partook in a community event at the Elgin Centre. The athletes spent three hours playing with the children and helping the parents checking in their children. More than 20 athletes helped with the event with every sport at Judson having somebody participate. The day at the Centre was put on by the Elgin Boys and Girls Club.
It was a great time for all and fun to watch the athletes interact with the children on the court. It is neat to see the heart of these college athletes and the impact they have on the children, says Director of Sports Information Adam Ledyard.
This is just the first of many community service projects to come for the student-athletes at Judson University. If there is any community service opportunities that are available for Judson athletes, please contact Adam Ledyard at aledyard@judsonu.edu or at 847-628-1583.
