ELGIN, Ill. - Presented with a prestigious honor for academics, the 2009 Judson University volleyball team earned the NAIA Scholar Team award for their team grade point. They finished the academic year with a 3.12.

The volleyball team is the second team in the past two years to qualify for the award as the 2008 Judson University softball team earned the same award for their grade point average. Judson also had nine athletes on a NAIA scholar-athlete team this year, too.

The volleyball team is coached by Jill Pearce who is in her second season.
