ELGIN, Ill. - Judson University head men's cross country/track coach Rich Weinhandl has added four more athletes to his team for the 2010-11 season. He is in his third year as the head coach for the men's team. Joining the team is Joshua Nieves (Hopewell Junction, NY), Isaac Johnson (Carmel, IN), Matt Johnson (Clinton, IA), and Gavin Fleagle (New Lenox, IL).

Joshua Nieves
Hopewell Junction, NY l Dutchess Community College l John Jay HS

Won one letter in high school in track…member of the Symphonic Band…son of Nelson and Susan Nieves…born on May 29, 1990…will major in architecture.


Isaac Johnson
Carmel, IN l Heritage Christian HS

Lettered two years in track/cross country for Eric Richey…also participated in football and bowling…given 2007 Track and Field Christian Leadership Award…was track and field "Top Field Athlete" in 2008…earned track and field "Most Improved Athlete" award…member of the small mixed ensemble…son of Gary and Pamela Johnson…born on October 29, 1991…will major in architecture.


Matt Johnson
Clinton, IA l Unity Christian HS

Won a combined 11 letters for track, baseball, basketball, and soccer…ran for Christ Pluister…voted most improved for baseball in 2009…member of Drama and Key Club…founded a Bible study…son of Chuck and Karen Johnson…born on March 3, 1992.


Gavin Feagle
New Lenox, IL l Lincoln Way Central HS

Earned four letters in track, soccer and diving…rant for coach Dustin Waddell…won a conference championship as a sophomore…won numerous events in track…helped team to a conference championship…member of National Honor Society, Pi Sigma Pi, Mu Alpha Theta, High Honor Roll, and Ultimate Frisbee Club…son of Russ Fleagle and Jill Fleagle…born on January 21, 1992…will major in architecture.
