ELGIN, Ill. - Having one of their best seasons, ever, in softball, Judson University picked up several NCCAA awards this year. At the NCCAA National Tournament, the awards were given out and two players were named NCCAA All-American.

Earning awards for all-American were Nicole Dimiceli and Concetta Lampugnano. Both players along with Lizzy Jacobson were NCCAA All-Region First-Team. Carrie Sensor was named to the NCCAA All-Tournament for her play.

For the third year in a row, Dimiceli has been named a NCCAA All-American and also earned the NCCAA Scholar-Athlete award. Dimiceli had a stellar 2010 season as she rewrote single season and career records for Judson. She broke her own single season records set last year for hits (78) and RBI (63) and tied the home run record with 14. Overall as a career at Judson, she holds four records in hits (209), RBI (155), doubles (47), and home runs (28).

Picking up her first NCCAA All-American award as a second-team selection is Lampugnano. On April 26th, she also was voted the NCCAA National Player of the Week for her play. This year, Lampugnano stepped up her offensive game as she swatted 11 home runs, recorded 70 hits, and batted .348. With her strong grade point average, she was also chosen as a NCCAA Scholar-Athlete. Her career at Judson will be one to remember as she put her name in the record books for both offense and pitching. She leaves Judson as the all-time strikeout leader on the mound with 248 and is the leader in career at-bats (560) and walks (70). This year, she also broke the single season record for wins with 16. She is in five different single season categories for the top 10 in hits, RBI, doubles, home runs, and walks. She finishes her career first in at bats (560) and walks (70), second in RBI (145) and home runs (25), third in hits (170), fourth in doubles (27), and seventh in runs scored (78).
