WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - On day two of the NCCAA National Tournament, Judson University won their first game in the loser's bracket but then fell to Simpson University to end their season at 31-29. Judson won their first game, 4-0, over Covenant College and then ended their season in a 5-2 loss to Simpson.

Judson 4, Covenant 0
Sarah Boyer collected her ninth win of the year pitching a complete game shutout over Covenant College. Boyer scattered seven hits and recorded six strikeouts in the win. Judson did all their scoring in the second inning and then played defense for their 31st win of the year.
 

Carrie Sensor and Danielle Curylo each had two hits in the win as Hallie Niewold recorded two RBI. Concetta Lampugnano and Allison Catlett each had one RBI.

Catlett brought in Judson's first run of the game in the second inning with a single to right field as Brittany Holm scored. Niewold followed with a two-run double to left center field as both Catlett and Curylo scored. Lampugnano finished out the scoring on a singled to left field that had Niewold trot in from third base.

Simpson 5, Judson 2
Simpson scored three runs in the first three innings as Judson came within two, 3-1, in the bottom of the third inning. Simpson followed with a run in the fourth and fifth innings for a 5-1 lead. Judson added one run in the sixth to come within three but didn't come any closer as the 2010 season ended.
 

Lizzy Jacobson took the loss pitching just two innings and giving up two earned runs. Sarah Boyer then went four innings with three runs and three strikeouts. Hallie Niewold worked the final inning and recorded no runs or hits.

Carrie Sensor led Judson with two hits as Nicole Dimiceli and Allison Catlett each had a RBI.

After Simpson took a 3-0 lead, Judson put their first run on the board in the third inning. Dimiceli doubled down the left field line as Sensor scored from first base. Judson's other run came in the sixth inning with the bases loaded and Catlett hitting a sacrifice fly scoring Dimiceli.

Judson finishes the year with a program record 31 wins and also broke numerous team records. Several Judson individual and career records were also broken.
