Chicago, Ill. - A strong second half by Trinity International propelled them past Judson University, 4-2, in the semifinal round of the NCCAA Regional Tournament. With the loss, JU finishes at 11-7-2 on the year.
TIU scored two goals in the second half after a 2-2 tie at the half. TIU picked up goals in the 53rd and 82nd minutes to take the 4-2 win.
In the first half, TIU took an early 2-0 lead with goals in the 18th and 34th minute. JU responded quickly by scoring 40 seconds after TIU's second goal to cut the lead to one. Samantha Vestal scored her first of two goals when she received the ball from Christina Thornton. Then, just before the half, Vestal made her second goal of the game to tie it at two all.
JU finishes the 2007 season at 11-7-2 and were the CCAC Tournament Champions. They were also the #1 seed in the NAIA Region VII Tournament.
