ELGIN, Ill. - Sending six participants to the NCCAA National Outdoor Track and Field Meet, the Judson University women's track and field team will be looking for their first NCCAA All-American in track and field. Judson had two athletes named NCCAA All-Americans in indoor track and field earlier this year.
Rachael Dean, Sarah Dede, Kim Peek, Kristal Pitts, Lauren Strohmaier, and Morgan Kimball will all be participating in the meet at Taylor University in Upland, Ind. Judson had three participants in the NCCAA Indoor National Meet.
Dede leads the way for Judson as she will participate in two events - the long jump and triple jump. She currently has the top triple jump length in the NCCAA with a leap of 11.26 meters. She has jumped 5.20 meters in the long jump. Dean will run in the 1500 meter run with her top time being 4:48.37. Peek will participate in the 400 meter hurdles (1:10.65) while Pitts runs in the 800 meter run (2:26.60) and Kimball in the 3000 meter steeple chase (12:53.94). Strohmaier will be jumping in the high jump with her best jump at 1.55 meters.
