ELGIN, Ill. -
Becoming the first female to qualify for the NAIA National Outdoor Track and
Field Meet, freshman Sarah Dede was voted the NCCAA National Player of the
Week. Dede qualified in the triple jump
for Judson with a NAIA standard.
Dede leaped
36'11.5" to make the qualification for the NAIA and finished second at the
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet. She finished second in the meet ahead of
several NCAA Division III athletes. She
also qualified for the NCCAA National Meet, too, with the jump.
On the day,
she recorded eight of Judson's 25 points to help them finish in 10th
overall.
