Elgin, Ill.- Moving onto the NCCAA Regional Tournament, the Judson University women’s soccer team will vie for a NCCAA Regional Championship starting on Friday, November 9th. JU will face Trinity International in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m.
For only the second time this season, JU will face Trinity International. JU fell to TIU earlier in the year, 1-0, on a tight goal that hit the crossbar and then bounced down onto the line for the only goal. TIU finished just ahead of JU in the CCAC with a 6-2-1 record to JU’s 6-3.
This will not be the first time the teams have met in the post season. Last year, JU faced TIU three times in the post season in the CCAC Tournament, NCCAA Regionals, and then NCCAA Nationals. JU went 1-3 last year vs. TIU winning the first contest in the regular season.
If JU defeats TIU, they will face the winner of the Trinity Christian / Olivet Nazarene winner in the NCCAA Regional Championship on Saturday, November 10th, at 5:00 p.m.
