ELGIN, Ill. - Producing 24 hits and 22 runs in a double header sweep of NCAA Division III Calvin College, Judson University won their 21st and 22nd game of the year. Judson is now 22-18 and needs just five more wins to break their single season record for wins that was set last year with 26. Nicole Dimiceli also set the Judson single season record for RBI with 50 breaking her record of 47 that was set last year.

Lizzy Jacobson and Sarah Boyer picked up the win and Judson hit two home runs, one a grand slam, from Danielle Curylo and Nicole Dimiceli. Curylo hit her fourth home run of the year with a grand slam in game one and then Dimiceli coasted her 12th home run of the year over center field in game two.

Game 1

Judson 9, Calvin 1

The first inning of the game brought goose eggs on the board before Judson added three in the second, two in the third, an four in the fourth for an eight run-lead. This ultimately led to the early end of the game by eight runs.

Jacobson earned her 10th win of the year going five innings with six strikeouts, two hits, and one earned run. Concetta Lampugnano led the team with three hits and added two RBI. Curylo recorded four RBI along with two hits. Carrie Sensor and Hallie Niewold both had two hits, too.

With the bases loaded and two outs in the second, Lampugnano swatted the ball to left field for a double scoring two in Curylo and Gladen. Two batters later, Sensor singled to score Krueger for the three-run lead.

After Oakland City came within two, 3-1, Judson answered with two runs in the bottom of the third inning. Gladen extended the lead to 4-1 on a catcher's throwing error and then Niewold hit in Curylo for a 5-1 lead.

Curylo's grand slam home run with two outs in the fourth finished off the Knights to make it 9-1 and run rule the game.

Game 2

Judson 13, Calvin 2

Judson improved their offense in game two with 12 hits and 13 runs for the 13-2 win in five innings. Sarah Boyer received the win, which was her eighth of the season, as she struck out five batters and did not give up any earned runs. Nicole Dimiceli led the team with three hits and four RBI including one home run. Lizzy Jacobson added three RBI while Curylo had one RBI and Lampugnano and Niewold added two RBI.

Judson scored 13 runs in the first four innings of the game. In the first inning, Judson had five runs for a four run lead, 5-1. The first three batters of the innings reached base on a walk and two singles. Jacobson stepped to the plate and doubled down the left field line to clear the bases. Four batters later, Niewold doubled as Haley Secor and Jacobson touched home for the fourth and fifth runs of the inning.

Four more runs came in in the second inning as Dimiceli hit her CCAC leading 12th home run over center field just three batters into the inning. Catlett then scored on an error and Curylo doubled to right center field for the fourth run of the inning as Brittany Holm scored.

Dimiceli's double to right center field in the third inning put Judson up 11-2 and then a Lampugnano double in the fourth inning finished out the scoring for 13 runs.

Judson travels to Elmhurst, Ill., on Saturday, April 17th, to face NCAA Division III Elmhurst College at 1:00 p.m.
