Chicago, Ill.- Down two at the half, Judson University (2-0) out scored Illinois Tech, 34-18, in the second half to move onto a 58-44 win over the NAIA Division I team. Judson now moves to 2-0 on the year and is only the 6th time in Judson history that a team has started with a 2-0 record.

Leading the way for Judson was junior transfer Marissa Marshall with 15 points. She went 6-of-8 from the field and was 2-of-2 from three-point land. Kirstin Johns added 10 points for the Eagles. Grabbing a career high 14 rebounds was Alicia Rovertoni to lead all rebounders.

 
JU was down two at the half, 26-24, as they only shot 27% from the floor and was 0-of-2 from the stripe. The second half was a different story as they shot 43% from the floor and made 60% (3-of-5) of their shots from beyond the arc. They also made 5-of-7 free throws. They then finished the game shooting 34% from the floor.
 

Defensively, JU held IIT to only five made shots in the second half. IIT shot 20% from the floor and made only 50% of their free throws. IIT finished shooting 31% from the floor. JU forced 21 turnovers in the game but had 23 of their own. They also had 13 steals.

Judson will host Grace College on Tuesday, November 13th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lindner Fitness Center.
