MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Breaking their seven-game losing streak in the Bethel College Tournament, Judson University took two games to improve to 16-14 on the year. Judson defeated Ohio Dominican, 9-8, and then CCAC member Calumet College, 12-1. Lizzy Jacobson and Sarah Boyer received the wins and Concetta Lampugnano hit her fifth home run of the year.

Judson 9, Ohio Dominican 8

Jumping out to the 6-0 lead in the second inning, Judson held onto a 9-8 win over Ohio Dominican. Judson had a 9-4 lead heading into the top of seventh inning and gave up four runs to make the game close. After the 6-0 lead, Ohio Dominican came within two, 6-4, in the top of the fourth before Judson added two in the bottom of the inning to make it 8-4. Judson added the insurance run in the bottom of the sixth for the five-run advantage.

Jacobson went the distance for her 8^th game of the year. She gave up eight earned runs on 10 hits and had four strikeouts.

Allison Catlett led the team going 3-of-4 with two RBI and two doubles. Haley Secor and Nicole Dimiceli each had two hits. Lampugnano smacked her fifth home run of the year for three RBI. Catlett and Jacobson had two RBI, too.

Judson 12, Calumet 1

Scoring 12 runs in two innings, Judson ended the game in five innings as Boyer won her fifth game of the year. She gave up no earned runs on three hits with three strikeouts.

Judson scored four runs in the bottom of the second and eight in the bottom of the third on seven errors by Calumet. The lone run by Calumet was scored in the top of the fifth inning.

Six different players had one hit for Judson but Jacobson had four RBI. Lampugnano and Dimiceli each had two RBI and Hallie Niewold and Sam Gladen had one RBI.

Judson will face #4 Bethel College on Saturday, April 10^th, at 12:00 p.m.
