Troll Relays - 3rd of 5 teams
PALOS
HEIGHTS, Ill. - Improving their times and preparing for the conference meet to
come in two weeks, the Judson University women's track team competed at the
Trinity Christian College Trolls Relay and finished third out of five
teams. Judson scored 78 points in the
meet.
Judson broke
four school records and four first place finishes. Taking first places were Sarah Dede, Lauren
Strohmaier, and Rachael Dean. Dede broke
her school record and won in the long jump (17'00.50") and triple jump (35'7.75"). Dean then won the 1500 meter run with a time
of 5:05.51 and then Strohmaier took the high jump with a leap of 5'1".
Breaking
school records were the 4x100 meter relay, 4x400 meter relay, and 4x800 meter
relay. In the 4x100, Shannon McNab,
Katie Rose, Dede, and Strohmaier ran a 53.89 and a third place finish. The 4x400 meter relay of Kim Peek,
Strohmaier, Dean, and Kristal Pitts ran a 4:17.78 for a second place
finish. Peek, Morgan Kimball, Dean, and
Pitts then broke the 4x800 meter relay record with a time of 10:08.02 to take
second place.
Judson will
next compete in the Chicagoland's Invitational on April 9th.
