CHICAGO, Ill. - Working for their first win of the season, the Judson University women's tennis team came up just one point short of victory against Dominican University, 5-4. Judson had a 2-1 lead after doubles play.

In doubles, Danielle Sum and Brittany Boelter won the #1 doubles, 8-5, over Emily Hereford and Andrea Body. Kristin Kress and Melissa Vivian then took the #2 doubles, 9-7, over Nadia Pencheva and Courtney Bates.

Judson then won the #1 and #3 singles for their third and fourth points. Sum took the #1 match, 6-0, 6-2, over Monica Budzak while Boelter won the #3 spot, 6-2, 6-2, over Pencheva.

They will next be in action on April 8th and 9th on a trip to Michigan to face Alma College, Davenport University, and Adrian College.

#3 Schultz / Jakki Estock lost to Baker / Alcantara 8-4
