WHITING, Ind. - Taking their third win of the season, the Judson University men's tennis team defeated Calumet College, 6-3. Judson is now 3-7 on the year.
Judson won all of their matches except one single and then had to forfeit one single match and one double match as they scored six points. In doubles, the Siripanya brothers took the #1 doubles, 8-5 over Victor Vellegas and Tommy Sherry. Jesse Perez and Adam Westhauser then claimed the #2 doubles with an 8-6 win against Nathan Serra and Stephen McClain.
In singles, Judson won the #1, #2, #3, and #5 singles matches. Thepkaysone Siripanya won the #1 singles with a 3-6, 6-2 (10-4) victory over Villegas. Sonesackit Siripanya took the #2 position with a 6-4, 5-7 (10-8) win against McClain. Westhauser scored Judson's fifth point on a 6-4, 6-0, win over Serna. Lucas Prewitt then won the #5 singles, 6-1, 6-0, against Martinez.
