
Elgin, Ill. – Continuing their success in the CCAC, the Judson University men’s soccer team put six players on the all-Conference team with four on the First-Team. JU also had the CCAC Player of the Year in Steven Moldenhauer.
Being named to the all-CCAC First-Team were seniors Mark Howlett and Moldenhauer, junior Gustavo Oliveira, and freshman Neil Thompson. Oliveira was the only unanimous choice for the First-Team. Garnering all-CCAC Second-Team honors were juniors Petar Bajic and Vitor Bravo.

Moldenhauer was named the CCAC Player of the Year for his defensive skills. He has guided JU to six shutouts with five in CCAC matches. He has recorded two goals and two assists for six points. This is the second year in a row that JU has had the CCAC Player of the Year as Jesus Saiz was given the award last year.
Being named the only unanimous choice for the all-CCAC First-Team was Oliveira. In the CCAC, he is fifth in points (1.44 pg) and 12th in goals (0.40 pg). Overall, he averages 1.35 points per game with eight goals and 11 assists on the year. He has been the CCAC Player of the Week once and the NCCAA National Player of the Week once. He had a career-high two goals and two assists vs. St. Francis (IL) for six points and he also had the security goal vs. Olivet Nazarene in the CCAC Semifinals.
Picking up five shutouts in 15 matches played, Thompson was named to the First-Team. Four of his five shutouts have come against CCAC opponents. He is second in the CCAC in saves per game (5.75) with 46 and tied for third in goals against average (0.62). Overall, he has 72 saves and a 0.93 GAA. He recorded a career-high 11 saves in a 2-2 tie vs. Illinois Tech.
Voted onto the all-CCAC Second Team is Petar Bajic and Bravo as midfielders. Bajic has started 19 games and has two goals and four assists. Bravo recorded two goals and two assists in 19 games played while starting 18.
JU will continue their post season on Monday, November 2nd, as they play in the NAIA Region VII Tournament as the #2 seed.
