ELGIN, Ill. - Taking the first step toward in building the women's track and field program at Judson University, sophomore Rachael Dean will be the first woman runner at the NAIA Indoor National Meet. She qualified in the mile run and 3000 meter run but will run only in the 3000 meter run.

Dean ran last week at the NCCAA National Indoor Meet where she became an all-American in the one-mile run. She just missed out on being a two-time all-American by finishing fourth in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:36.84.

She is currently ranked ninth in the NAIA in the 3000 meter run and the top six are named All-Americans. The first heat is on Friday, March 5^th, with the finals on Saturday, March 6^th.
