ELGIN, Ill. - Becoming the 26th player in Judson University men's basketball history to score 1,000 points, sophomore Landon Skinner entered the club on February 20th. Skinner scored 12 points in a 107-100 win over Trinity International to finish with 1,002 points.

Skinner hit the 1,000 point mark at the 2:44 mark that put Judson up by 11 points, 95-84. He scored his 998th point in fashion just two minutes earlier when he drove down the baseline for his first dunk of the season to make it 86-76. Skinner is one of the fastest players to score 1,000 points in Judson history and is the 26th player to score 1,000 points at Judson. The all-time leading scorer is Tom Randall with 2,381 points, which could be reachable by Skinner in the next two seasons.

This year, he has scored 20 or more points in seven games with a 31-point performance against Indiana-Northwest and now has scored 411 points. Last year he had 20 or more points in 16 games and finished with 591 points. He is the leading scorer on the team this year averaging 15.8 points per game

In his short career at Judson, he has been the CCAC Player of the Week three times. Last year as a freshman, he was named the CCAC Freshman of the Year while being on the All-CCAC First Team. He also was named a NAIA All-American Honorable Mention.

Judson will now host Purdue-North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23rd, in the first round of the CCAC Tournament.
