9th of 20 teams

ELGIN, Ill. - The Women's track team competed at the Chicagoland Championships held at Lewis University on Friday.

The team finished with 14 total points to finish 9th out of 20 teams.

Rachael Dean finished 1st in the 3000m run (10pts) with a time of 10:25.84. This time automatically qualifies her for the NAIA national meet in the 3000m. She is now qualified in both the Mile and the 3000m run.

Rounding out the scoring was Lauren Strohmaier, who finished 7th in the High Jump with a jump of 1.55m (2pts) and Sarah Dede, who finished 7th in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.04m (2pts.)

Sarah Dede finished the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.80 and qualifies her for the NCCAA meet. Kristal Pitts ran the 800m run with a time of 2:28.2.
