ELGIN, Ill. -
Signing her first player for the 2010-11 athletic year, Judson University softball
coach Becky Stenning has announced that Emma Anderson will play for the
Eagles. Anderson will come to Judson
from Springfield High School (IL).
Anderson,
who will graduate in 2010, has won nine letters in softball, basketball, and
volleyball. She is a centerfielder,
catcher, and pitcher in softball and plays for Lee Seiple. She is a four-year starter on the softball
team and been academic All-Conference for all three sports. In volleyball she was voted the most improved
player and helped her team to the 2009 City Championship. She also helped her basketball team to the
Class 3A State Tournament where they finished fourth.
At
Springfield High School, she participates in Fellowship of Christian
Athletes. She has been on the honor roll
all four years, too. She is the daughter
of David and Danielle Anderson and will major in architecture and interior
design.
Judson
University is coming off one of their best seasons, ever, as they won a program
best 25 games and went to the second round of the CCAC Tournament. They also picked up their first program win
over Olivet Nazarene in 2009 and won 10 or more games in the CCAC for the
second year in a row.
