Purdue Calumet 83, Judson 37 - Box

Hammond, Ind. - Judson University (8-14, 2-5) fell in their second CCAC game within the last week to Purdue Calumet (12-12, 5-3) on the road. The Eagles scored only 19 first half points and trailed by 23 going into the half.

Rachel McBride and Daisy Jara led all Judson scorers with six points. McBride chipped in with a game high 10 rebounds while Jara added six rebounds. Sara Keilman of Purdue Calumet led all scorers on the night with 16 points.

The first five minutes of the game were close between both teams as Judson led by one after a three-pointer, 6-5, by Aubrey Parsons. However the Peregrines never looked back after retaking the lead, 7-6, as they went on a 37 to 13 run to finish off the first half taking a 42-19 halftime lead.

Purdue Calumet started out the second half on an 20-point run and led 62-19 with 15:16 left in the game. The Peregrines came out and pulled away by as many as 49 points with 3:33 minutes left in the game.

The Eagles were never able to keep up with Purdue Calumet and their shooting. Judson shot 22.5% from the floor, 12.5% from beyond the arc, and 25% from the free throw line. The Peregrines shot as well as 52.6% from the floor, 47.4% from three, and 77.8% from the charity stripe.

Judson will host Calumet College at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10th.
