ELGIN, Ill. - Qualifying for the NCCAA National Meet in the one-mile run, sophomore Rachael Dean was named the NCCAA National Runner of the Week for track. She ran a 5:17.99 at Carthage College to win the event and qualify for her second event.

Dean also won the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:42.35 and qualified the week before the NCCAA National Meet. She recorded 20 of Judson's 49 points as the team finished in fourth place out of 16 programs. In both races, she finished ahead of several NCAA Division III and NAIA runners. In the mile run, she came in front of two Northern Illinois University runners.

This is the first award that the track and field program has received in over 10 years as Judson is beginning a new program.
