WHITEWATER, WIsc. - In their first, ever, indoor track meet, three athletes from the Judson University women's program qualified for the NCCAA (National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association) National Championship meet at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational. Rachael Dean, Sarah Dede, and Lauren Strohmaier all qualified as Judson finished sixth of nine teams. Judson compiled 34 points for the sixth place finish as they were ahead of NCAA Division III programs Saint Mary's, Aurora University, and North Park University.

Dean won the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:52.17 as she came in front of 22 runners for 10 points. Dede then was third in the long jump with a leap of 16'1.5" for five points. Strohmaier gave Judson six points in the high jump with a leap of 5'1" for third place. Picking up six points in third place was the distance medley relay team with a time of 13:29.68 (Morgan Kimball, Kristal Pitts, Abbie DuPont, and Dean). Pitts took third place in the 800 meter run (2:31.19) for six points and then Dede rounded out the scoring with one point in the 55 meter hurdles (10th-16.62).

Also participating were Sharon Hubbard (55m dash-9.05; 200m dash-32.8), Murphy Kurth (400m dash-1:29.42), Morgan Kimball (3000m run-12:12.22), and Dede (55m hurdles-9.93).

Judson will next run on January 30th at the Carthage College Invitational.
