
ELGIN, Ill. - Helping Judson University to two straight CCAC wins, Josh Edwards was named the CCAC Player of the Week. He averaged 25.5 points per game and hit nine three-pointers.
He had two 20-point games with crucial baskets in key runs for Judson in both games. In Judson's 83-74 win over Purdue-Calumet, he had 27 points, including five three-pointers. He made 10-of-19 shots from the field and also had three steals. He had 11 points in a 21-8 run to start the second half when Judson was down seven as the Eagles took the lead for good. The Peregrines cut the lead to four with 10 minutes left when Edwards hit a layup to keep Judson ahead and start an 11-3 run.
In the 98-82 road win against Calumet, he had 24 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals. Judson was down 18-8 to start the game and he converted on a four-point play to start a 21-10 run. He scored 11 of the points in the run.
In the two games combined, he averaged 25.5 points, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals. He converted on 17-of-32 shots (53%) and 9-of-20 three-point field goals (45%). He made 8-of-9 free throws.
Judson is 7-11 overall and now 4-1 in the CCAC.
