ELGIN, Ill. - It was a cold night on the floor for Judson University (5-10/0-1) as they fell to #22 Cardinal Stritch University (16-2/2-0), 81-52, in CCAC women's basketball action. Judson shot just 27% from the floor and 29% from the three-point line. In the first half, Judson mad only eight baskets from the floor shooting 23%.

Alicia Rovertoni led Judson with her 27^th career double-double gaining 12 points and 13 rebounds. She now has 775 career rebounds and needs just two rebounds to move into fourth place on the Judson all-time career rebounding list. Kristi Siemers added 11 points with three three-pointers.

The first minute and 15 seconds of the game were the best for Judson as they jumped out to a 7-2 lead. Siemers opened up the game with a three-pointer followed by a layup by Aubrey Parsons for a 5-2 lead. Rovertoni made it a 7-2 game with a layup at the 18:46 mark for the 5-point lead. Cardinal Stritch tied the game at seven with 17:25 left in the half and then Crystal Goodall put Judson up one last time, 9-7, just 10 seconds later. Cardinal Stritch settled down the Judson quick start and went on a 17-5 run over the next seven minutes for a 10-point lead, 24-14. They never lost the lead after that. Goodall once again made a shot for Judson to bring the lead to eight, 24-16 (10:09), but that was the last shot made for the next four minutes. Judson only made two more shots from the floor after Goodall's shot. Cardinal Stritch outscored Judson in the final 10 minutes, 23-5, for a 26-point lead at the half, 47-21.

Cardinal Stritch continued their strong offensive effort in the second half as they had a 36-point lead at one point. Judson's shooting did get better in the second half as they mad 31% of their shots.

Cardinal Stritch finished shooting 46% from the floor, 47% from three-point range, and 75% from the stripe. They also out rebounded Judson, 47-44, and forced 16 turnovers. Judson made 80% of their free throws.

Judson will host Purdue-Calumet at 5:30 p.m. in CCAC action on Wednesday, January 13^th, in the Lindner Fitness Center.
