ELGIN, Ill. - Signing his second player within the same week as Jared Williams, Art Steuber has signed Rock Valley College standout Tyler Adland for the 2010-11 season. Adland is the #1 player for Rock Valley.

Adland is in his second year at Rock Valley and was named the 2008 NJCAA Region IV "Player to Watch" at the NJCAA National Tournament. He finished last year with a 14-2 singles record and won the Region IV championship. He qualified for the NJCAA Division III National Tournament where he won the Draw Championship after losing in the first round. He was the first player from Rock Valley to win the "Player to Watch" award.

Playing three sports at Hononegah H.S. in Rockton, Illinois, Adland lettered twice in tennis. He also played baseball and football. In his senior season, he was the men's tennis team's MVP.

Adland is the son of Tom and Lynn Adland and is majoring in physical therapy.

Judson University is in their first year of men's tennis after a 10-year absence. They are currently 2-2 overall and start their spring schedule in February.
