Wisc. - In their first of three straight exhibition games and four games in
five days, the Judson University men's basketball team fell to NCAA Division II
Wisconsin-Parkside, 94-78. Judson was
down only 10 points at the half, 49-39.
Three
players were in double figures for Judson as Marious Lobdell led the team with
19 points. Jim Kuban added 17 and Landon
Skinner had 12. Kuban and Anthony Ahlers
each had seven rebounds.
Judson had a
six-point lead in the first half, 17-11, just six minutes into the game on a
Josh Edwards three-pointer. After
Wisconsin-Parkside took a two-point lead, Skinner tied the game at 21 at the
10:53 mark. With 6:49 left in the half,
Judson had a 33-31 lead but Wisconsin-Parkside finished the half on an 18-6 run
for the 10-point lead at the half.
In the
second half, it took Judson almost four minutes to make their first basket as
Wisconsin-Parkside took a 16-point lead.
From that point, Wisconsin-Parkside never let the lead slip under
15. Judson was within 15-points, 62-47,
with 14:31 left in the game but then did not make a basket for over six minutes
as the lead grew to 33 points.
Judson
finished shooting 37% from the floor, 27% from three-point range, and 85% from
the stripe. Wisconsin-Parkside hit 58%
of their shots, 40% from three-point range, and 73% from the stripe. Judson had 19 turnovers and two steals.
Judson will
now travel over to Minnesota for a game on December 16th, at 7:00
p.m. against NCAA Division II St. Cloud State.
