Recording two goals a piece were Gustavo Oliveira and Leonardo Silva. Silva has now scored four goals in the last two games as he had two vs. Robert Morris.
Oliveira put Judson the board first in the 9th minute when he dribbled down the sideline and around defenders for the score. Three minutes later, Petar Bajic made it 2-0 when he scored off USF’s goalies save. Tim Balatsoukas netted a goal in the 18th minute when the Bajic brothers passed the ball around until they found Balatsoukas in the box. From 35-yardsout, Vitor Bravo put JU ahead by four, 4-0, with a beautiful shot that whizzed right into the back of the net. Silva then record the first of his two goals in the 34th minute off his chest from an Oliveira pass.
USF scored their lone goal in the second half (55th minute) to cut the lead to four, 5-1. JU then scored two goals in less than a minute in the 70th minute. Oliveira put his second goal of the game in when he tapped in the ball on a break away. Matching Oliveira, Silva scored the next goal in under a minute, alone, as he dribbled into the box for a 7-1 lead.
Senior Mark Howlett scored in the 75th minute on another JU break away as Oliveira found him in the middle. Making his first collegiate goal in the 85th minute, sophomore Sanon Eustache shot in the ball from the middle of the box when Bajic found him open.
Overall, JU took 24 shots with 16 on goal. USF had 10 shots with seven on goal. Freshman Neil Thompson had five saves in the win.
