MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Exploding for 18 runs on 19 hits in a CCAC game against Cardinal Stritch University (6-15/1-7), Judson University won their 21stgame of the year in major fashion, 18-1. Judson is now 7-1 in the CCAC and 21-6 overall. Judson did not have an error in the game, too, and four players had two or more hits as 18 players saw some kind of action in the game today.
Craig Lipp improved to 3-1 on the year going six innings for the win with six strikeouts and not walking a single batter. He gave up just one earned run in the first inning and faced 21 batters overall. Mitch Baker came in to work the seventh in a shortened nine-inning game due to the score and recorded one strikeout.
Matt McHenry went 4-of-4 on the day with a home run and two RBI while Billy Wright led the team with five RBI going 3-of-4 on the day. Johnny Amann was 3-of-6 with three RBI while Chris Simon hit his first collegiate home run for two RBI. Nick Norris added two RBI while Josh Raymond, Cody Love, Brian Brauer, and Jake Kane all had one RBI.
Judson started the game off with one run in the top of the first inning on a McHenry single. Cardinal Stritch then tied the game at the bottom of the inning. Judson answered with four runs in the second, three in the third, one in the fourth, and then nine in the sixth for 18 runs.
Judson will travel to Notre Dame, Ind., on Wednesday, March 28th, to face Holy Cross College in a CCAC double-header.
