Judson Men Open Season at Boilermaker Classic

The men's bowling team entered into their first tournament of the year this past weekend in Lafayette, IN and produced great team finish. They placed 10th of 20 varsity teams in the two-day tournament with two top great individual performances. Luis Landrau-Suazo (FR/Carolina, PR) finished 31st overall and Lowell Lynde IV (SO/Elgin, IL) finished 35th out of a field of 250 men bowlers.

The team had to face one of the toughest lane conditions to date. Judson bowled a 1-to-1, 38 ft. sport shot pattern that challenged the Eagles throughout the tournament. Coach Valiente said, "Overall, they did not do bad. Definitely, lots of practice to do, but for being the first tournament of the season and bowling this kind of [lane] condition and how they handled themselves, they did very well. For many of them this was their first collegiate tournament so I'm happy with the results."

The team will compete next at the Tier 1 47th Annual Midwest Collegiate Tournament on October 7th and 8th in Wauwatosa ,WI.
